The Brazilian Butt Lift typically requires the liposuctioning of a large amount of fat from the abdomen, flanks, thighs and any other spot on the body and then injecting it into the buttocks for more volume. But not everyone has enough fat over their body to harvest and then inject to make a difference in the size of their buttocks. But there is another technique, if you’re trying to stay natural and avoid implants, that can “make do” with that you have.
An auto-augmentation of the buttocks can potentially give you the results you’re looking for in a Brazilian Butt Lift. This technique isn’t necessarily new but it is derived from a body lift, the removal of excess skin after massive weight loss. Since massive weight loss patients often lose fat in their buttocks, they too want more fullness in the buttocks while removing excess skin from their drooping backside.
By removing only the superficial layer of skin and keeping the deeper dermis along with the underlying fat, the volume the patient already has can be maintained and the remaining skin can be lifted up and over the fat. This way, the skin is lifted over the remaining buttock fat to give the appearance of more volume.
Another way to think of it, is we’ve kept the same volume but reduced the skin “envelope.” With this technique, a patient can achieve their goals of a fuller buttock even if they don’t have as much fat as they’d like. The surgeon just removes the excess skin to make the buttock tighter!
