Jumping on the bandwagon, we’re now showing various surgical procedures on Snapchat! In today’s story on Snapchat, we’re performing Turbo Lipo to the chest and abdomen. We’re @realdrbae on Snapchat.
Liposuction isn’t for weight loss. It’s for patients that work out, lead a healthy lifestyle but have stubborn fat that needs aggressive treatment. Due to genetics, some pockets of fat, such as the love handles or thighs, won’t ever go away with exercise alone. If this bothers you, then that’s what liposuction is for. There are non-surgical options like CoolSculpting which definitely work, but to a lesser extent than liposuction. So you just have to decide – more result vs less invasive. You can’t go wrong either way!
So back to liposuction. In the Snap story below, you’ll see a patient undergoing Turbo Lipo! That’s our fancy name for liposuction with the power assisted liposuction handpiece from Microaire. With an automated and powered handpiece, the surgeon can get more fat in a shorter period of time with less fatigue to the operating surgeon.
This patient is getting liposuction to the chest, abdomen and flanks. He’s a perfect candidate for liposuction to the chest because he has minimal breast tissue. Since breast tissue is typically more fibrous, liposuction alone won’t treat that issue – gynecomastia – male breast development. But in this case, the patient only has fat to the chest, not excess breast tissue, which is why he’s a perfect candidate for Turbo Lipo. If he had gynecomastia, he would need an incision around the areola to remove the breast tissue but today, only a 4mm incision to remove fat! Enjoy our Snap story below:
